Hi Chris,

I hope you are well.

I wanted to let you know I was lucky enough to get an interview with QLD Rail, for the job you helped with the cover letter and my resume … They were very impressed and said they had over 1,000 applicants apply and congratulations on making it this far…I then received an email saying :

Thank you for taking the time to interview for the Customer Service Attendant (Relief) (677) position. We wish to advise that whilst we are not proceeding with your application at this time, you have been chosen as an “Order of Merit candidate” for this role.

Order of Merit applies to candidates who have been deemed suitable through the recruitment and selection process. The Order of Merit for this position will be valid for 12 months and as such should this position become vacant in the next 12 months, we will call on the Order of Merit to fill the role.

I may not have gotten the job this time Chris, BUT I will say I am just as happy to make it as far as the interview stage BUT then to receive the Order of Merit is pretty dam awesome, may not have been the outcome I was hoping for I’m sure something will come up soon and hopefully within the QLD Rail department.

I’d like to again say “THANK YOU” sooooo much for helping me Chris I also know if it wasn’t for you and your help doing my Resume and cover letter this would not have been possible I am sure I would not have secured an interview.  You are truly amazing and awesome at what you do.

I will keep you posted if anything comes of the Order of Merit.

Take care Chris and THANK YOU.

Kind regards

Annie x

...you helped me so much. As you know I was so so grateful I found you and you helped turn my life round. I was feeling pretty very low and you came along and helped put my smile back in my dial and made me think more positive and have the "I can do this attitude" again...

Annie

"Hello Chris

I'm emailing you as promised to give feedback on my job prospect.

The panel was very impressed with my selection criteria, many thanks to you.  I was so nervous being my first interview. I went in with the mindset of being open and honest, just be myself.  To my surprise I did exceptionally well.  157 people applied for the job, 11 made it to the interview and I made it to the final 2.

I was so overwhelmed to have made it that far.  I was given such wonderful feedback and told how agonising it was for the panel to make the final decision.

I did not get the position I applied for, but because they were so impressed they offered me another job opportunity.  I will still be working as an Educational Assistant, but they will be extending my role to administration and giving me extra hours.  I'm very excited with my new role and look forward to what the future holds.

Thank you for making my resume and selection criteria stand out amongst the many applicants.  I look forward to contacting you again in the future."

Kind Regards

Janelle Ostrofski
